In the past, we have partnered with Habitat for Humanity in Avery County, North Carolina and NAOMI house in Arizona. We have even had opportunities to serve in Taiwan.
This summer we have been called to Corpus Christi, Texas from Sun August 5 to Saturday August 11, 2018. Twenty people from TAFPC will fly down to Texas to help clean up and rebuild after the devastations of hurricane Harvey. Many groups are going to Houston, Texas. We will be going to a town 20 min away that was also hit but the hurricane, and will be able to provide a home base for us. The cost of the trip will vary depending on the amount of people that go, but it will be roughly $800 for transportation, living arrangements, and food. TAFPC will cover for 1/3 of the cost, we will fundraise for the other 1/3, and it will be your responsibility to cover the other 1/3 (you can self fundraise for this portion as well). If you are available this summer, please donate your time and able bodies to help serve a community that is still rebuilding after this natural disaster.
